Christian tradition holds that the Roman authorities had to replace the Apostle Paul's guards while he was awaiting trial because he kept converting them. This is a story about one of his guards that becomes a Christian, marries into an influential Christian family and their attempt to place the first Christian Emperor on throne. It spans the reigns of Claudius to Domitian.
